About the Role

• Writes directives advising department managers of Company policy regarding equal employment opportunities.
• Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
• Oversees the administration of Company HRIS
• Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance with state and federal laws. Studies legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.
• Keeps records of personnel transactions such as new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
• Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
• Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.

• Prepares budget of human resources operations.
• Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation,
• Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
• Manages talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
• Conduct employee onboarding
• Organize and manage training & development initiatives.
• Provides documentation for employees such as Verification of employment.
• Manages and submits annual reports to the government including EEO-1 and VETS-4212
• Updates and submits annual Affirmative Action Plan per federal contractor regulations.

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

·     Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business, or related area

·     Five years’ relevant work experience

·     Effective verbal and written communication skills

·     Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

·     Experience with the human resources information system (HRIS) preferably ADP

·     Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations.

·     Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork.

·     Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning.
